Deborah Upton Obituary

Deborah “Debbie” J. Upton, 68 of Wesley passed away Monday, March 11, 2024 at Willard Walker Hospice. She was born July 19, 1955 in Springdale, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ira M. Upton and Nadine (Johnston) Upton Lundy; brother, Daryl Wood; step mother, Shirley Storts Wood Upton and step father, William (Bill) Lundy.

Survivors include her children, Penny Garrett of Wesley, Jerry Bowen and Wife Ashley of Prairie Grove and Ira Bowen of Wesley; brothers, Denny Upton and Janet Edwards of Springdale, Claude Don Upton of Huntsville, David Wood, Dean Wood and Rodney Wood; sister, Kathy Wood Witt Calico and husband James of Huntsville and Pam Lundy Frank; six grandchildren; five great grandchildren with one on the way; Mary Lou Farmer her” forever sister” and several nieces, nephews and a gaggle of cousins.

A celebration of life will be held at the Wesley Community Building Saturday, March 23, 2024 from 12-2pm.

A private memorial service will be held following her Celebration of life, at Debbie’s longtime home on Rose Mountain in Madison Co at 2:30pm.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Madison County Funeral Service of Huntsville.
